City of Llano General Election

General Elections for the City of Llano are held in May each year. The Mayor and two Council Members will be elected in the upcoming election on May 1, 2021. Questions regarding election laws and procedures, including how to run for office, are to be directed to the Secretary of State at 512-463-5650 or you may visit their website. Questions regarding financial and other reporting procedures and contributions or expenditures related to elections are to be directed to the Texas Ethics Commission at 512-463-5800 or you may visit their website.

The City Secretary, Erica Berry, has prepared a
Candidate Packet with the necessary forms, handouts, and pertinent information.

The first day to file for a place on the ballot for the May 1, 2021, General Election is January 13, 2021. The last day to file for a place on the ballot for the May 1, 2021, General Election is February 12, 2021, at 5:00 pm.

If you are interested in running for City Council, please visit the Texas Secretary of State’s website for information on how to run for office, deadlines, an application for a place on the ballot and all other required forms, legal requirements, financial reporting regulations, and other election information. Filing For School Board Elections

 

 

The filing period began Wednesday, Jan. 13, and ends at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12. Here is filing information for each school board:

Burnet Consolidated Independent School District

BCISD has three spots on the ballot: places 2, 4, and 6. Currently, Angela Moore is the Place 2 board member, Ross Behrens is Place 4, and Robby Robertson is Place 6.

Application packets may be picked up at the BCISD Central Office, 208 E. Brier St. in Burnet, or downloaded on the district’s website. Applications must be returned to the Central Office during the filing period. Office hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, except for Friday, Feb. 12, when the office will be open until 5 p.m. Call Sharon Schwartz, the administrative assistant to the superintendent, at 512-756-2124 for more information.


Llano ISD

LISD has two spots on the ballot: places 1 and 5. Currently, Rob Wilson is the Place 1 board member and Dean Campbell is Place 5. 

Application packets may be picked up at the LISD Administrative Office, 1400 Oatman Drive, Llano, TX 78643, or downloaded on the district’s website. Applications may be returned in person or by mail to the above address, emailed to kdowney@llanoisd.org, or faxed to 325-247-5623. Office hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, except for Friday, Feb. 12, when the office will be open until 5 p.m.
